Most organizations start FinOps in public cloud—and then hit a wall: the real technology spend is not only in AWS/Azure/GCP, but also in SaaS and managed platforms (Databricks, OpenShift/ROSA, MongoDB, Kafka, etc.). When these costs remain “out of scope,” chargeback/showback loses credibility, monthly close becomes manual, and FinOps can’t evolve into a value conversation. In this session, Gerdau shares how they moved from limited/manual allocation to consistent allocation logic and end-to-end automation, enabling segmented views for multiple technology teams and finance stakeholders for multiple cloud and SaaS platforms.
